Position: FT Nurse Aide/Med Aide 2nd SHIFT - ENVH Bellevue

2nd Shift (2:15–10:45 p.m.)

Wage Information

$24.149–$31.224 (Base $21.149–$28.224 + $3.00/hour differential + $1.00–$1.75 Shift Differentials)

Responsibilities

Under immediate supervision of a licensed Registered Nurse or designee, provide basic nursing care, administer medications, and apply treatments for members within the scope of the Nebraska Medication Aide Act, State of Nebraska Nursing Assistant regulations and agency regulations. Train, mentor, coach, and assist with the orientation of new Staff Care Technicians and perform related work as assigned.

Position Details

Full time position working as a Nurse Aide/Med Aide on a skilled nursing unit. Two‑week block schedule with every‑other weekend rotation.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age, completed a State approved 76‑hour nurse aide training course and competency evaluation program, and be listed on the Nebraska Nurse Aide Registry.

  • Principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • Nebraska Medication Aide Act, medication administration and adverse medication reactions
  • Regulations governing nursing assistants
  • Practices and principles of providing basic nursing assistance
  • Infection control practices
  • HIPAA regulations
  • Abuse and neglect identification and prevention
  • Safety principles
  • Privacy and dignity principles
Skills
  • Providing basic nursing assistance
  • Administering medications
  • Developing positive relationships with others
Abilities
  • Recognize adverse medication reactions and take appropriate action
  • Follow oral and written instructions in exact detail
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and push/pull up to 75 lbs. on a daily basis
  • Frequently bend at the waist and neck, frequently twist at the waist, and walk or stand up to 90% of the shift
