American Traveler is hiring a Charge RN for a Night Shift Emergency Department position requiring at least 3 years of ED experience with prior charge and travel experience.
Details- Work in a General Emergency Department (Combined Adult/Pediatric) within a Level II Trauma Center
- Facility is STEMI and Stroke Certified
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15
- Weekend rotation required, either every other or every third weekend depending on unit need
- Floating within the hospital may be required based on patient care needs
- Charge nurse responsibilities included
- Active WA state or compact RN license required in hand
- Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department experience required
- Prior Charge RN experience in the ED required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
- Required certifications: ACLS and BLS in hand
- Preferred certifications: NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC
- Epic charting system experience required
- Skilled in emergency and trauma care including cardiac monitoring, EKG interpretation, and management of dysrhythmias
- Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and administration of emergency medications
- Experience managing psychiatric and behavioral health emergencies
- Experience with respiratory support including BiPAP/CPAP and care of ventilated patients
- Skilled in triage, isolation precautions/PPE, and orthopedic trauma care
- Provide direct emergency care to a combined adult and pediatric patient population
- Manage trauma cases including gunshot wounds and traumatic amputations
- Respond to neurological emergencies such as CVA, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury
- Required orientation modules must be completed and signed off by facility managers
- Maximum of 5 days RTO permitted per assignment with no exceptions and no blocked scheduling requests
- All time off must be disclosed prior to starting the assignment and cannot be modified afterward
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as non-local candidates
- Travel pairs accepted
- Former staff must be separated from the facility/system for at least 1 year before being eligible for rehire as a traveler
