Job Description & How to Apply Below

We help over 200,000 e-commerce businesses (across Amazon, Shopify, eBay, Alibaba, etc.) expand their sales internationally. As an official service provider for Amazon, we support global sellers in navigating complex regulatory requirements, including, but not limited to:

  • Global Tax Registrations (VAT, GST...)
  • EU Recycling Compliance (EPR, WEEE...)
  • Trademark Registrations
  • Amazon Climate Pledge Friendly Certifications
  • Product Testing Obligations (e.g. UKCA, CE markings) to ensure full market compliance.

This is not a traditional sales job — instead, you’ll deliver professional, high-demand services that help clients grow their businesses. The role is ideal for strategic, service-oriented individuals who excel in building relationships, are comfortable with public speaking, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Whether you’re early in your career or looking for a high-growth opportunity, this position offers a clear and fast advancement path with no age or tenure barriers. You’ll build your expertise in global tax and compliance for e-commerce, enhance VATAi’s brand awareness within the seller community, represent the company at industry events, and advise and co‑create compliance solutions with clients. Occasional travel is required.

Who

Succeeds Here

You’re not just a salesperson — you’re a service‑driven professional. You’ve worked in e‑commerce, tax compliance, logistics, or B2B services, or you’ve sold into those spaces. You understand that trust and expertise close more deals than scripts and discounts.

You’re bilingual (Spanish/English) or at least comfortable navigating cross‑border conversations. You can walk into a trade show, give a presentation, sit down with a seller afterward, and immediately build credibility — not by pitching, but by solving.

You thrive in high‑autonomy, fast‑paced environments. You don’t need a rigid sales process or constant enablement. You build your own lead‑gen experiments — online communities, partner referrals, platform seller teams — and you track what works.

You’re comfortable with 70% sales, 30% marketing. You create your own collateral when needed. You present. You demo. You write. You don’t say "that’s marketing’s job."

You see events and travel as leverage, not a chore. You represent the brand like you own it.

You’re early or mid‑career but think like a founder. You want a clear, fast advancement path — and you’re willing to earn it through outcomes, not tenure.

Who Struggles Here

If you need a warm lead machine or BDR to feed you meetings, you’ll feel lost. This role requires you to generate your own pipeline through communities, events, and partnerships.

If you’re uncomfortable speaking in public, running demos, or working a trade show floor, you’ll burn out quickly.

If you see "marketing" as someone else’s job — creating assets, running campaigns, managing social — this will frustrate you.

If you prefer structure over experimentation, or need a repeatable playbook handed to you, we’re not there yet.

If you don’t understand e‑commerce sellers’ real pain points (tax, compliance, cross‑border risk), you won’t earn their trust. Surface‑level product knowledge isn’t enough.

If you’re looking for a purely transactional, short‑cycle sales role, this isn’t it. This is relationship‑driven, solution‑oriented, and service‑heavy.

Salary and Benefits
  • Salary Range: $21–$30 per hour + monthly commission bonus based on KPI attainment
  • Bonus structure: A performance‑based bonus program is being developed to reward lead generation and sales contributions.
  • Competitive benefits package including health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and travel allowances.
What Makes This Role Unique
  • A non‑traditional sales role with real client demand — no cold calls, no social entertainment. You’ll engage clients who need critical compliance solutions to succeed in cross‑border e‑commerce.
  • Build rare expertise:
You’ll grow into a compliance expert — a skillset valued by platforms, sellers, and service providers — opening up future career opportunities across the e‑commerce industry.
  • Fast‑track your growth:
For ambitious professionals, this is a clear path to leadership and long‑term career development
