Account Executive

VATAi is a SaaS and professional services provider helping global e-commerce businesses stay compliant as they expand internationally. We support sellers on platforms such as Amazon, Shopify, eBay, and Alibaba with services including VAT/GST registrations, EPR and WEEE compliance, trademark registrations, product compliance, and other cross-border business requirements.

We are growing our U.S. team and looking for an entry-level Sales Development Representative who is excited to build a career in B2B sales, e-commerce, and global compliance.

This is an entry-level sales role based in Bellevue, WA. You do not need prior tax, compliance, or SaaS experience. We will train you on our services, target customers, and sales process.

You will help identify and engage e-commerce sellers, qualify potential customers, schedule discovery calls, support client conversations, and learn how to explain compliance solutions in a clear and customer-focused way.

This is a good fit for someone who enjoys talking to people, learning quickly, following up consistently, and wants to grow into a larger sales or account management role.

• Research potential customers, including Amazon, Shopify, eBay, and other marketplace sellers
• Reach out to prospects through phone, email, Linked In, events, and partner channels
• Qualify leads and understand basic customer needs
• Schedule discovery calls and demos for the sales team
• Maintain accurate lead and customer activity in the CRM
• Learn VATAi’s services, including VAT, GST, EPR, WEEE, trademark, and product compliance
• Support trade shows, local events, and partner outreach when needed
• Help create simple sales materials, follow-up emails, and customer-facing notes
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure prospects and customers receive timely support

• 0-2+ years of experience in sales, customer service, retail, hospitality, call center, marketing, or business development
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable speaking with new people by phone, email, and in person
• Organized, reliable, and good at following up
• Curious and willing to learn a technical service category
• Interest in e-commerce, international business, SaaS, logistics, tax, or compliance
• Authorized to work in the United States

• Experience supporting small businesses, online sellers, or marketplace sellers
• Experience with Amazon, Shopify, eBay, Alibaba, or cross-border e-commerce
• Prior SDR, BDR, lead generation, customer success, or account support experience
• Background in tax, compliance, accounting, logistics, SaaS, or professional services
• Experience using CRM tools, Linked In Sales Navigator, or sales engagement tools

Base pay: $21.60-$28.00 per hour

Starting pay will depend on job-related experience, including sales experience, SaaS experience, e-commerce seller support, tax/compliance knowledge, logistics, bilingual communication skills, and other relevant background.

Candidates with direct experience in e-commerce compliance, tax compliance, SaaS sales, marketplace seller services, or related industries may be considered at the higher end of the range.
