DC Overnight Unarmed Security Officer

Full‑time and part‑time shifts available. Must work weekends.

This is a full‑time roving position (approximately 30‑40 hours per week) at an upscale apartment and retail community in Washington, D.C. Multiple shifts are available, including 9 pm‑5 am and 11 pm‑7 am.

Weekend availability is mandatory.

• Must possess a valid DC Security Officer License
• Must have reliable transportation and a working cell phone
• Must pass a drug test
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, including in varied weather conditions
• Professional appearance and positive attitude

• Patrol the premises and maintain a visible security presence
• Monitor entrances, exits, and surveillance systems
• Deter loitering, panhandling, and unauthorized access
• Respond promptly to suspicious activity and critical incidents
• Enforce property rules and community policies
• Write detailed daily activity and incident reports
• Rove between assigned areas, including amenity spaces, garages, and common areas

• Previous security experience or related background in public safety
• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong attention to detail and observation skills
• Ability to work independently with integrity and professionalism
