Job Description
- Location:
TH AVE NE, BELLEVUE, WA 98005, US - Banner Safeway
- Make daily mechanical check on equipment in the Mechanical Room, Roof, HVAC, EMS systems, refrigerated cases and walk-ins.
- Maintain all refrigeration, HVAC, EMS systems, electrical, and mechanical systems and make necessary repairs.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks, leak checks, inspections and record required information.
- Maintain jurisdictionally applicable records, EPA forms and required documentation in paper and electronic (Corrigo and Trakref).
- Monitor preventive maintenance performed by outside contractors and notify Area Refrigeration Manager of issues or problems.
- Responsible for troubleshooting refrigeration, HVAC, mechanical and electrical problems, performing repairs, documenting solutions and recommending further action.
- Maintain a high technical level in troubleshooting and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Manage communications for service calls in a timely manner as required.
- Maintain current license, inspection, permit, and certificate requirements to meet all state and local codes.
- Operate EMS building controls and automation systems; fine tune operating parameters, adjust set points and schedules, understand and modify building control sequences and operate the EMS/BMS systems.
- Perform a variety of administrative tasks such as ordering material and writing purchase orders, and data entry for work reports and refrigerant leak reports via company supplied electronics.
- Perform all duties in a timely, efficient, & professional manner.
- Maintain a neat, clean and safe work area in mechanical room, roof, service vehicle, etc.
- High School diploma or equivalent. Graduate of building related vocational - technical programs are preferred.
- Minimum of five years recent experience performing refrigeration service, or maintenance work in building related trades.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to perform duties with a high degree of accuracy and care to avoid mechanical breakdowns.
- Able to respond to direct and radio requests as soon as possible.
- Able to maintain proper neat uniform appearance of Company provided work shirt and employee provided clean blue jeans without holes or tears.
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment as required including arc flash and safety glasses.
- Must be computer literate.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must possess an EPA Section 608 Universal Certification.
- Ability to read and comprehend manuals, prints, and work orders.
- Knowledge of tools and equipment maintenance.
- General record keeping skills.
- Customer service orientation and sensitivity to diverse needs of coworkers, employees, and other persons contacted in the daily course of work.
- Ability to work independently.
- Most work is performed in both indoor and outdoor work environments.
- Ability to perform manual labor.
- Incumbent may use various trade tools, and other office equipment in the course of normal workday.
- Stooping, bending, twisting, lifting, and reaching is required in completion of job duties.
40%+ of time is spent traveling.
Pay and BenefitsThe hourly pay is $38 - $53 per hour but no less than the local minimum wage. Starting rates will vary based on things like location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement.
Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay (accrued based on hours worked), PTO/Vacation pay (accrued based on hours worked), paid holidays (between 7-9 days annually), bereavement pay, and retirement benefits (pension and/or 401k eligibility).
