Building Maintenance, Installation Technician
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Maintenance Lead to oversee and perform maintenance, renovations, and unit turn services. Available hours; 32 - 40 hours/week. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to manage multiple maintenance projects while ensuring quality workmanship and timely completion. This position requires hands‑on experience in a wide range of construction and maintenance trades, including painting, drywall, flooring, fencing/deck repairs, millwork, carpentry, door installations, and apartment/home unit turns.
Work locations include:
Bothell, Lynnwood, Mill Creek, Bellevue, Seattle, and Lake Stevens.
- Lead and perform maintenance and renovation projects
- Coordinate and complete unit turns efficiently and on schedule
- Perform painting, drywall installation/repair, texturing, and finishing
- Install and repair flooring including vinyl, laminate, hardwood, and tile
- Build, repair, and maintain fences and decks
- Install and repair doors, door frames, and door hardware
- Complete trim carpentry and millwork installations
- Diagnose maintenance issues and determine appropriate repair solutions
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards and safety requirements
- Supervise and assist maintenance technicians and vendors as needed
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work vehicles in good condition
- Communicate project updates with management teams
- Respond to maintenance emergencies when necessary
- Minimum 5+ years of hands‑on experience in painting, drywall repair and installation, flooring installation and repairs, fence and deck construction/repairs, millwork and trim carpentry, door installations and repairs, residential unit turns
- Strong knowledge of maintenance and construction practices
- Ability to read basic work orders, measurements, and project scopes
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools
- Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and lead projects from start to finish
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor daily
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience
- OSHA or safety certifications are a plus
- Indoor and outdoor work environments
- Frequent standing, lifting, climbing, bending, and kneeling
- Exposure to varying weather conditions and construction materials
Compensation for the Maintenance Lead position is a base pay of $32.00 to $40.00/hour [depending on experience]. 401k + company pays 75% of health care plan.
