JOB OVERVIEW

Responsible for performing various trade-related work, with an emphasis on painting and wall repair. Responsibilities also include portable equipment and other hardware, as directed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Repair drywall damage to like new condition.
  • Paint walls, doors, and other surfaces as needed.
  • Repair and adjust door hardware and install new components as needed.
  • Diagnose various mechanical problems and perform corrective work when approved.
  • Participate in preventative maintenance tasks as directed.
  • Maintain accurate work performed and materials used in the work order system.
  • Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Perform all duties professionally and productively, emphasizing guest satisfaction to ensure the successful operation of Meydenbauer Center.
  • Will be required to work some weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Ability to perform work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Skillful in the operation of typically used building trade-related tools and application of materials skillfully.
  • Familiar with the use, storage, and disposal of all types of waste material.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Two years in a maintenance-based environment. Vocational training is a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
  • Applying common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
