The Water & Mold Damage Restoration Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Bellevue, WA. This team member is responsible for assessing water and mold damage, setting up and monitoring drying equipment, performing demolition and cleanup, and assisting with remediation and restoration tasks. Daily work includes documenting site conditions, following safety and industry standards, communicating clearly with supervisors and clients, and coordinating with team members to complete projects efficiently.
The technician will handle emergency response calls, help mitigate further property damage, and support the reconstruction process as needed.
- Strong understanding of water damage and water damage restoration techniques, including assessment, extraction, and structural drying.
- Knowledge of mitigation practices and ability to follow industry standards for damage control and mold remediation.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with team members, supervisors, and homeowners in a professional and clear manner.
- Awareness of environmental and invasive species concerns related to water and mold issues and willingness to follow best practices.
- Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces or on uneven surfaces.
- Attention to detail in documentation, photo taking, and job reporting for insurance and project records.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites in Bellevue, Seattle, and surrounding areas.
- Prior experience in restoration, construction, or related trades is preferred; industry certifications (e.g., IICRC) are a plus.
- Commitment to safety procedures, use of PPE, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
