Lead Youth Crisis Mentor
Fully Remote and must be located in Washington State.
Schedule & HoursPart‑time (0.6 FTE). Wednesday through Saturdays 5:00 pm–10:00 pm, with a mandatory staff meeting each Wednesday from 3:00 pm–5:00 pm.
Pay$26.01 per hour.
About Crisis ConnectionsCrisis Connections provides telephone‑based crisis support that is free, easily accessible, and grounded in compassion. Our mission is to foster resilience and wellbeing for all by connecting people to safe, supportive help.
Responsibilities- Provide support, guidance, and development to Teen Link volunteers on the service line.
- Assist with training and orientation of Teen Link volunteers, including support during contacts (texts, chats, phone calls) and debriefing conversations.
- Contribute to volunteer growth and leadership skill development.
- AA in Social Sciences, Psychology, or Counseling preferred; candidates nearing completion of such a degree will be considered.
- Experience, familiarity, knowledge, and understanding of working with youth.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Attention to detail on documentation.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to empowering youth.
- Reliable and dependable record, punctual for work and off‑site events.
- Daily access to reliable transportation.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
All candidates must complete a basic computer‑skills assessment (~15 minutes) and have a smartphone capable of downloading and using a multi‑factor authentication (MFA) application. Remote candidates require a high‑speed wired internet connection (no cellular or hotspots) and a quiet, confidential workspace.
Working Conditions- Ability to sit or stand for lengthy periods while wearing a headset or earphones and managing multiple IT/software platforms.
