Software Development Engineer, Alexa & AI

Requirements

• Over 3 years of professional software development experience (excluding internships).
• At least 2 years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems (including design patterns, reliability, and scaling).
• Proficient in at least one programming language.

Responsibilities:

• Develop high-quality software that runs on millions of Echo family and Alexa-enabled devices using cutting-edge technologies, including Large Language Models.
• Maintain a long-term architectural perspective, proactively addressing issues and suggesting larger projects as needed.
• Assess the business implications of your systems and exercise sound judgment in making technical decisions.
• Promote engineering best practices such as Operational Excellence, Security, and Quality, and establish standards.
• Navigate differing opinions by finding the most effective path forward and fostering consensus among team members.
• Support the professional growth of colleagues by enhancing their technical skills and engineering practices.
