Azure AI​/ML Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an Azure AI/ML Engineer for a Contract with a client in Bellevue, WA
. This role requires strong hands‑on expertise in Python/Java/C# and building RAG‑based AI/ML systems using LLMs, vector databases, and Azure AI services to be fully considered for the position.

Rate Range: $55/hour to $57/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Design and implement RAG pipelines using embeddings, vector search (e.g., Azure AI Search), and LLMs (Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Anthropic) to power AI-driven applications.
• Build secure, scalable REST APIs and microservices in Python/C#/Java, ensuring cloud‑native patterns, performance, and reliability on Azure.
• Orchestrate multi‑agent and tool‑using workflows with Semantic Kernel, AI Foundry, and related frameworks; integrate managed AI services as needed.
• Optimize and manage vector databases and data models; enforce best practices for security, data privacy, observability, and cost across AI workloads.
• Deploy and operate solutions using Azure Dev Ops CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes; automate testing and releases for repeatable, compliant delivery.
• Collaborate with product, data science, and platform teams to translate business requirements into production AI solutions and maintain high-quality documentation.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field.
• 8–10 years of experience in AI/ML engineering, cloud‑native development, or large‑scale distributed systems.
• Proven hands‑on expertise in building RAG pipelines, working with LLMs (Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Anthropic), and implementing vector‑based search solutions.
• Strong experience with Azure cloud services, Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK/Terraform), and containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.

Pay Details: $55.00 to $57.00 per hour
