Software Engineer
Overview
Technical Leads for various and unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. (HQ: Bellevue, WA).
Responsibilities include performing complex analysis and design of software applications to meet established business requirements, maintaining and modifying software applications, defining specifications for design and development of enterprise-scale applications, performing data warehouse development and BI development, interfacing with end-users to determine requirements, analyzing and developing modifications to existing systems to enhance performance, and coordinating with the software development team in the analysis, development, and deployment of data and applications.
The role supports a distributed team and follows Agile methodologies.
- Perform complex analysis and design of software applications to meet business requirements.
- Maintain and modify software applications.
- Define specifications for design and development of enterprise-scale applications.
- Perform data warehouse development and BI development.
- Interface with end-users to determine requirements of developed applications.
- Analyze, design, and develop modifications to existing systems and applications to enhance performance.
- Coordinate with the software development team in the analysis of applications and the deployment of relevant data and applications.
- Work with technologies including AWS Redshift, SQL Server DB, CDC (SQL Server), SSAS, SSRS, SSIS, ETL from various sources, stored procedures; BIML scripting; database normalization; data modeling; design of database schema/structures; data integrity restraints.
- Collaborate in a distributed team and apply Agile methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology or related field, plus three years of experience in software development.
- 3 years of experience with each: data warehousing in AWS Redshift; SQL Server DB; CDC SQL Server; ETL from various sources; stored procedures; gathering requirements; SSAS (dimensional, fact, cube building); SSRS (author, manage, deliver); SSIS; BIML scripting.
- Experience must include database normalization, data modeling, design of database schema/structures, including data integrity restraints.
- Experience working in a distributed team and with Agile methodologies.
