Amazon crafts solutions for employee time management and analytics across global businesses. This role focuses on building scalable, auditable systems that support complex, jurisdiction‑aware business rules.
Key Responsibilities- Lead feature development, working backwards from customer requirements to deliver highly scalable, available, and resilient software components.
- Champion code quality by minimizing complexity and reducing technical debt through appropriate design patterns.
- Mentor SDE‑I and interns, providing constructive feedback.
- Participate in design reviews at team and organization levels.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and propose solutions to improve operational excellence.
- Deliver projects across the full software development lifecycle.
- 3+ years of professional software development experience (non‑internship).
- 2+ years of design or architecture experience focusing on reliability and scaling of new and existing systems.
- 1+ year of experience as a software development engineer or related role.
- 1+ year of designing and developing large‑scale, multi‑tiered, distributed software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- 1+ year of Object‑Oriented Design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
- Experience programming with at least one language.
- 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
Competitive salary range: – USD annually (USA, WA, Bellevue).
