To help us achieve this goal, we are seeking a Software Development Engineer II to join our team.

• Design, implement, and deploy software components and features, solving difficult problems and generating positive feedback.
• Proficient in a broad range of design approaches, selecting appropriate ones for each scenario.
• Work on project ideas with customers, stakeholders, and peers, fostering constructive dialogue and seeking professional resolutions.
• Focus on operational excellence, identify problems, and propose solutions.

• Work through all phases of the project lifecycle: reviewing requirements, designing services that lay foundation for the new technology platform, building new interfaces and integrating with existing architectures, developing and testing code, and delivering seamless implementations for global customers.
• Evaluate and utilize AWS technologies where appropriate, such as ECS, RDS/Dynamo
  
  DB/Red Shift, to design and build scalable backend web services and customer‑facing APIs.
• Design and code technical solutions in tools such as Java, JQuery and/or Java script/React
  
  JS to deliver value to customers.
• Deeply understand and work with a variety of developer tools across the software development lifecycle.
• Build iteratively using agile methodologies.

Hiring Software Delivery (HSD) builds solutions enabling Amazon to hire the global workforce required to deliver on behalf of customers. Our products are designed to get the right people into the right roles as fast and as efficiently as possible.

• 3+ years of professional software development experience (non‑internship)
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling
• 1+ year of software engineering or related occupational experience
• 1+ year of designing and developing large‑scale, multi‑tiered, multi‑threaded, embedded or distributed software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
• 1+ year of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent

• Base salary range: $ - $ USD annually (WA, Bellevue)
