Senior Full Stack Engineer – Privacy
The Senior Full Stack Engineer – Privacy will design, build, and maintain production-grade web applications and APIs that power client's data privacy platform, including Data Subject Request (DSR) processing, consent management, and regulatory compliance workflows. Working within the Data & Intelligence organization's Privacy practice, this engineer operates at the intersection of frontend, backend, and cloud engineering to deliver responsive, secure, and scalable solutions supporting client's privacy obligations across a customer base of over 100 million.
You will collaborate closely with privacy product managers, data engineers, AI/ML engineers, and legal and compliance teams to translate complex regulatory requirements — including CCPA, CPRA, TCPA, and other state privacy laws — into reliable software systems. You will also integrate with third-party privacy platforms such as One Trust and leverage modern Dev Ops practices to ensure rapid and reliable delivery.
FullStack Development
- Design and build scalable, high-performance web applications using React or Angular for frontend and Python (FastAPI/Django) or Node.js for backend services.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices supporting privacy workflows including Data Subject Requests (DSR), consent management, and opt-out processing.
- Build responsive, accessible UIs that surface privacy compliance dashboards, DSR status tracking, and operational metrics to internal and external stakeholders.
- Integrate with privacy platforms such as One Trust to automate rights fulfillment workflows across client's systems.
- Implement secure data handling patterns to ensure PII protection across all layers of the application stack.
- Architect and maintain microservices-based backends, applying REST and event-driven architectural patterns using Kafka or equivalent messaging systems.
- Design and implement data models, database schemas, and query optimizations across relational (Oracle, MySQL, Snowflake) and No
SQL data stores. - Write well-tested, documented code; participate actively in code reviews and uphold engineering quality standards.
- Use Swagger/OpenAPI to document APIs and ensure consistent integration patterns across engineering teams.
- Deploy and manage cloud-native services on Azure or AWS including compute, storage, serverless functions, and container registries.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git Lab or Azure Dev Ops to enable reliable, automated software delivery.
- Apply containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes for scalable, resilient service deployments.
- Implement observability best practices including monitoring, alerting, and log analysis using Splunk, App Dynamics, or Grafana.
- Implement technical controls to support compliance with CCPA, CPRA, TCPA, and other applicable state and federal privacy regulations.
- Build and maintain audit logging and data lineage tracking to support privacy impact assessments and regulatory reporting.
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, and privacy operations teams to translate regulatory requirements into engineering specifications and solutions.
- Contribute to the design of data minimization, retention, and deletion workflows within the client privacy platform.
- Daily use of AI productivity tools (current stack: Claude and Cursor or similar IDE) for code development, code review, debugging, testing, and documentation.
- Contribute to AI-assisted automation of privacy workflows including intelligent DSR routing, anomaly detection, and notification systems.
- Partner with data engineers, AI/ML engineers, product managers, and compliance stakeholders to deliver end-to-end privacy solutions.
- Produce and maintain clear technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and runbooks.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and team knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of hands-on full stack software engineering experience in…
