Walmart’s Transactional System provides core transactional systems to enable segment and technology partners in creating wonderful omni experiences with speed and leverage. Transactional System organization is responsible for managing and optimizing payment processing, promotional campaigns, fraud prevention strategies, and compliance with financial regulations. This team ensures seamless transactions, mitigates risks, and maintains governance frameworks to protect the business and customers. We are a highly motivated group of engineers, working in an agile group to solve sophisticated and high impact problems.

This role is part of a team and will build the next generation multi-tenant, client agnostic, highly scalable, omni solutions.

• Develop comprehensive business and tech solutions.
• Lead and participate in medium- to large-scale projects by reviewing requirements, translating into technical solutions, gathering design documents and product requirements, writing code, conducting unit testing, and communicating status and issues to team members and stakeholders.
• Work in small groups of six to ten engineers in software development and design, identifying short- and long-term solutions and timelines, reviewing and approving proposed solutions, implementing new architectural patterns, and performing design and code reviews.
• Troubleshoot business and production issues by gathering information, engaging support teams, formulating action plans, performing actions, interpreting results, performing root cause analysis, and completing online documentation.
• Provide support to the business by responding to user questions, concerns, and issues, identifying short- and long-term solutions, facilitating resolutions, and leading cross-functional partnership.
• Lead the discovery phase of medium to large projects to develop high-level designs in partnership with product, project, business, and user experience teams, obtaining cross-function approvals.
• Demonstrate up-to-date expertise and apply it to development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance, supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs, and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.
• Support implementation of business solutions by building relationships with key stakeholders, identifying business needs, carrying out necessary processes and practices, monitoring progress and results, recognizing improvement opportunities, and adapting to competing demands and changes.
• Model compliance with company policies and procedures and support company mission, values, and ethics by integrating policies into development, using the Open Door Policy, and assisting others in applying these practices.
