AI Native Full Stack Engineer

Our client is a venture-backed, stealth-mode technology company building an AI-native platform for physical security and critical infrastructure. Their software helps organizations in industries such as data centers, energy, manufacturing, and other regulated environments unify physical security operations, AI-powered decision making, and operational workflows into a single platform.

As an early member of the engineering team, you'll have the opportunity to shape both the product and the customer experience. This is a highly collaborative role that combines hands-on software development with customer-facing deployments and technical problem solving.

• Design, build, and maintain modern full-stack applications using React, Type Script, and backend technologies including Node.js, Go, or Python.
• Develop customer-facing web applications and operator workflows that support mission-critical security operations.
• Build and enhance microservices, APIs, and integrations supporting cloud, on-premises, and air-gapped deployments.
• Deploy and configure software solutions within customer environments, including system integration, testing, validation, and go-live support.
• Work directly with customer stakeholders during implementations, gathering feedback and translating real-world challenges into product improvements.
• Troubleshoot production issues across application, infrastructure, networking, and deployment environments.
• Develop AI-powered product capabilities, including LLM-based features, copilots, and intelligent workflows.
• Collaborate closely with product, infrastructure, computer vision, and platform engineering teams in an agile startup environment.
• Help improve deployment processes, implementation playbooks, and customer onboarding best practices.

• 5+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience.
• Strong experience building production applications with React and Type Script.
• Backend development experience with Node.js, Go, or Python.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs and distributed services.
• Comfortable working in Linux environments with Docker, Kubernetes, or K3s.
• Experience deploying software into customer environments or supporting enterprise implementations, proofs of concept, or production rollouts.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills across both application and infrastructure layers.
• Experience working with AI-assisted development tools or building AI-enabled software products.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced startup environments with a high degree of ownership and autonomy.
• Willingness to travel up to 30–50% to customer locations.

• Experience building AI-powered applications using LLMs, AI agents, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), or vector databases.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Timescale DB, pgvector, NATS, or other event-driven architectures.
• Experience integrating third-party enterprise systems, APIs, or hardware platforms.
• Background in cybersecurity, physical security, networking, IoT, industrial systems, or critical infrastructure.
• Experience working with video management systems, access control platforms, RTSP, ONVIF, or similar technologies.
• Experience deploying software into regulated, highly secure, or air-gapped environments.
• Previous experience as a Solutions Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, Professional Services Engineer, or Implementation Engineer.
• Startup or early-stage company experience.
