Walmart is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the delivery of scalable, secure software solutions aligned with platform and business objectives. About the team:

The Creative Platform team develops and maintains Walmart’s first‑party self‑service ad creative builder, enabling advertisers to create and deliver ad creatives across the retail media network. This team manages the full backend stack, including creative management APIs, video transcoding, and image optimization. Focused on scalable, reliable solutions, the team supports onsite and offsite ad delivery with high performance and seamless integration.

Members collaborate to drive innovation, maintain system quality, and deliver impactful features that power Walmart’s advertising business end‑to‑end.

What you'll do:

• 5 year of experience as Sr. Software Engineer.
• Expert-level knowledge of Java and experience building Java‑based backend systems.
• Extensive experience building and implementing microservices and applications using Spring Boot and reactive frameworks like Spring Web Flux .
• Experience in internet‑scalable distributed technologies (e.g. Solr, Kafka, Mem Cache, etc.).
• Strong understanding of JEE components, multithreading, and networking.
• Extensive knowledge of offline storage, caching, and performance tuning.
• Experience with cloud‑based solutions and hands‑on experience with CI/CD development environments/tools, including Git, Maven, and Jenkins.
• Strong understanding of CS fundamentals, microservices, data structures, algorithms, and problem solving.
• Experience working with generative AI/ML technologies.
