Position summary:

T-Mobile is America's supercharged Un-carrier, delivering an advanced 4G LTE and transformative nationwide 5G network that will offer reliable connectivity for all. Sr Software Engineers is located in Bellevue, WA will drive engineering projects by developing software solutions; conducting tests and inspections; preparing reports and calculations.

Telecommuting is permitted, but applicant must work from the worksite location at least 3-4 days per week. No additional national or international travel is anticipated.

Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Understand system protocols, how systems operate and data flows.

  • Aware of current technology benefits.

  • Expected to independently develop a full software stack.

  • Understand the building blocks, interactions, dependencies, and tools required to complete software and automation work.

  • Independent study of current technology is expected.

  • Interact with system engineers to define system requirement and necessary requirements for automation.

  • Contribute to designs to implement new ideas which utilize new frameworks to improve an existing or new system or process or service.

  • Review existing designs and processes to highlight more efficient ways to complete existing workload more effectively through industry perspectives.

  • Understand the creation of company IPR.

  • Collaborate with technical teams and utilizes system expertise to deliver technical solutions.

  • Continuously learn and teach others existing and new technologies.

  • Contribute to the development of others through mentoring or in house workshops and learning sessions.

  • Contribute to new and existing technology options that support business goals.

  • Understand current technology that supports business goals.

  • Understands system protocols, how systems operate and data flows.

  • Aware of current technology benefits.

  • Write basic documentation on how technology works.

  • Creates clear documentation for new code and systems used.

  • Document systems designs, presentations, and business requirements for consumption and consideration at the manager level.

Minimum requirements:

Experience and education requirements:

PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Technology, Computer Engineering, or related, and 3 years of relevant work experience in any occupation in which the required experience is gained.

ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Technology, Computer Engineering, or related, and 5 years of relevant work experience in any occupation in which the required experience is gained.

Skills requirements:
Requires experience in each of the following:

Developing scalable APIs and microservices using Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Docker, and deploying solutions on AWS Cloud. Developing responsive UIs with AngularJS, NodeJS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, XML, AJAX, and mobile apps using SwiftUI and Storyboard. Web Sphere commerce migration, Web Sphere application server upgrade, Java and Linux upgrades, Angular/Node upgrade, Oracle database upgrade, DB table partitioning, SQL query tuning, Caching and performance tuning.

SQL, stored procedures, and managing large databases using MongoDB, Oracle, and frameworks like Web Sphere Commerce, Struts, and Spring. Migrating Java, Linux, and IBM Web Sphere Application Server (WAS) environments to latest versions for production web applications. Jira, Git Lab, Azure, Postman, Redis, Xcode, Eclipse, Visual Studio, Cocoapods, APIGEE, TAG, SOAP, REST, Service Now, and Splunk.
