As a Staff Software Engineer at Walmart, you will lead the design and delivery of scalable platform capabilities, driving the full software development lifecycle with a focus on cloud-native architecture and AI/ML integration. They lead technical strategy and execution across platforms, ensuring architectural integrity aligned with enterprise standards. • Deliver platform capabilities including infrastructure, tooling, and ML frameworks aligned with roadmap priorities.
• Drive full software development lifecycle activities such as coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Apply cloud-native architecture principles to ensure scalable, resilient, and agile systems.
• Conduct system design reviews to validate quality and alignment with architectural standards.
• Build AI-driven applications integrating ML components and automation features.
• Mentor engineers, influence technical decisions, and promote engineering excellence.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex problems into actionable technical requirements.
• Continuously improve processes, tools, and products through innovation and data-driven practices.

• Proven expertise in cloud-native architecture, including microservices, containers, and automation to ensure scalable and resilient systems.
• Strong proficiency in software design patterns, API design, and software prototyping to develop maintainable and modular solutions.
• Experience leading full software development lifecycle activities, including coding, testing, CI/CD deployment, and observability.
• Skilled in Java programming and familiar with Dev Ops engineering practices to enhance platform capabilities and developer productivity.
• Ability to apply data-driven decision making and remedial action to optimize engineering processes and product quality.
• Demonstrated technical leadership, mentorship, and collaboration across cross-functional teams to drive engineering excellence.
