Branch Driver for Platt in Bellevue WA
OverviewDeliver products to customers, company branch and warehouse locations, and suppliers in a delivery van or box truck (No CDL required). Work Monday to Friday 6AM to 3PM with weekends off. Provide support across warehouse operations and mentor entry‑level drivers.
Responsibilities- Inspect vehicle for defects and complete daily inspection report.
- Keep vehicle clean, serviced, and maintain; alert supervisor of needed repairs.
- Follow DOT, local, and state driving laws and regulations.
- Load or unload vehicle, verify quantity and type of material, and ensure material is free of damage.
- Assist in preparing orders for delivery.
- Complete delivery documentation, including signed delivery receipt, packing list, and branch/warehouse manifest.
- Pick up material returns from customers and verify condition and catalog numbers.
- Pick up material from company suppliers.
- Train and mentor entry‑level truck drivers.
- Support warehouse duties such as order preparation, receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping material.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Attend company driver training (experience not required).
- Valid driver’s license and at least 21 years of age.
- Pass pre‑employment and annual Motor Vehicle Record review.
- Non‑expired medical certificate within 60 days of hire.
- No suspended driver’s license for an accident/violation within the past 3 years.
- No at‑fault accidents in the past 3 years.
- Handle loads with a combined weight not to exceed 26,000 GVW.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and traffic and driver laws.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
- Excellent customer service and attention to detail.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
