Contract: Equal to Days Students are in school + some professional development

District bus drivers are very important to the start and finish of a successful academic day. Our bus drivers are the first face students see in the morning and the last face they see prior to going home. Bellevue Community Schools is looking for kind and safe drivers to support a positive atmosphere for students.

• Commercial driver’s license
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations within the last five years
• Ability to carry out assigned route on time

• Additional chauffeur’s license

• Transport passengers to and from school and school-related events.
• Obey all traffic laws.
• Maintain a clean and mechanically sound bus at all times.
• Ensure the safety of all students.
• Verify permissions for children who ride.
• Assist students with getting on and off the bus as needed.
• Discipline children as needed to maintain a safe environment.
• Perform inspections of the bus before and after each route.
• Attend safety meetings as required.

• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
