Job Description
Class A CDL Driver (Hazmat) – Non‑Exempt.
Reports to:
Operations Manager.
Location:
11202 S. 25th Street, Bellevue, NE 68123, PVS DX, Inc.

Responsibilities- Safe preload and transport of chemicals and/or compressed gases in cargo tank trucks and liquid bulk tankers to and from loading plant to terminal yard.
- Pre and post inspections, yard checks, equipment maintenance and documentation.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- DOT and FMCSA Regulations for Hazardous and Non‑Hazardous materials
- Safe loading and unloading of liquid bulk and packaged liquid hazmat
- Shipping papers (Manifest/Bills of Lading)
- Placarding & Labeling
- Emergency Response Information, Personal Protective Equipment, First Aid for Exposure
- Air Brake Systems, Safe Work Practices, U.S. Department of Transportation regulations covering drivers and the shipping of hazardous materials
- Hours of Service, Lift gate operation, Crane operation, Load securement
- Defensive Driving, Roll Stability Control, Braking Control, Backing and Docking
- Connection/Disconnection of Hoses & Coupling, Gauging & Measurement, Manual Transmission
- Pre and Post Transfer Checks, Tanker, flatbed and straight truck operation
- Ability to lift, carry and maneuver heavy hoses, cylinders and equipment (often 50–75 lbs or more) during loading, unloading and maintenance tasks
Must be able to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy hoses, cylinders, equipment (often 50–75 lbs or more) during loading, unloading and maintenance tasks. Frequently exerts forces equivalent to lifting up to 25 pounds or occasionally 50 pounds. May sit for long periods of time while driving. Must work irregular hours, 12+ hour shifts, and be willing to travel to other plants based on business needs.
Work environment may involve excessive noise, extreme hot and cold temperatures, traffic and weather conditions, and hazardous materials such as flammable liquids, corrosive materials and compressed gases.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum age 25
- Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
- Manual transmission tractor operation required
- Two years’ verifiable experience operating a commercial tractor‑trailer
- Clear FMCSA Clearing House and satisfactory MVR & PSP (good driving record)
- Ability to operate commercial vehicles across state lines
- Pass pre‑employment drug screen and physical
- Reliable transportation and stable employment history
- Must reside in the Houston, Texas metro area
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, overnight and extended workweeks with travel as needed
- Some mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Professional appearance and demeanor; strong customer service skills; ability to prioritize, multi‑task, manage time, organize and execute tasks in a high‑pressure environment
- Strong adaptability to evolving products, commercial vehicle units and overall plant needs
