Branch Driver

Summary

Branch Driver I – Bellevue, WA. The Truck Driver I is responsible for delivering products to and from customers, company branch/warehouse locations, and suppliers in a delivery van or box truck (No CDL required). The role ensures deliveries are prepared to meet customer requirements efficiently, with materials correct and free of damage.

• Inspect the company vehicle for visual and operating defects and complete a daily inspection report.
• Keep the company vehicle clean, serviced, and maintained; alert the supervisor of required repairs or service.
• Follow Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). local, and state driving laws and regulations.
• Load or unload the vehicle and ensure all material for each order is correct in quantity and type and that it is free of damage before departure.
• Assist in preparing orders for delivery.
• Ensure all appropriate documentation is thoroughly completed at the time of delivery, including delivery receipt signed by the customer, packing list, and branch/warehouse manifest.
• Pick up material returns from customers, inspect the condition of the material, and verify quantities and catalog numbers.
• Pick up material from company suppliers.
• May be required to perform other job functions within a branch when needed, including counter sales, preparing and filling orders, receiving, stocking, staging, shipping material, and maintaining branch equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Attend company driver training (in lieu of experience).
• Hold a valid driver’s license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Pass a pre‑employment and annual review of the Motor Vehicle Record.
• Obtain a verification of a non‑expired medical certificate as required by law within 60 days of hire.
• Have no suspended driver’s license for a traffic accident/violation within the past 3 years.
• Have no at‑fault accidents in the past 3 years.

• Handle loads with a combined weight not to exceed 26,000 GVW.
• Handle basic issues and problems.
• Possess strong knowledge of safety regulations and familiarity with traffic and driver laws.
• Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills; ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
