Overview
The Warehouse Supervisor at Marathon Petroleum Company (MPC) leads and oversees daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, material handling, logistics activities, and quality control processes. This role supervises Warehouse Technicians and contract personnel, providing coaching, performance management, and guidance to maintain high standards of productivity, safety, and compliance.
Responsibilities- Supervise Warehouse Technicians in the performance of their duties, ensuring expected standards of job performance, discipline and safety are met.
- Provide coaching to employees; participate in performance management discussions and in the selection process for staffing of future open positions.
- Oversee the execution of daily warehouse operations, including the handling of goods receipts, goods issues, picklists, cycle counting, stock put‑away, logistics, and quality control/assurance.
- Coordinate contract employees responsible for the handling and processing of materials and supplies, ensuring that the expected standards of job performance and safety are met as sites require.
- Maintain high Health, Environment, Safety & Security (HES&S) standards; lead and participate in activities supporting HES&S commitments.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, guidelines, and requirements related to warehousing and inventory control.
- Support 10% travel to regional warehouses as required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Five (5) or more years of warehousing or business relevant experience.
