No Teaching Credential Required.
Open Positions May Include- Instructional Assistant – Visual Arts
- Support students with drawing, painting, sculpture, design, art projects, displays, and exhibitions.
- Instructional Assistant – Media Arts
- Support students with photography, video, filmmaking, graphic design, digital media, animation, web design, game design, and 3D design.
- Instructional Assistant – Visual & Performing Arts
- Support students with music, theater, dance, choreography, rehearsals, performances, concerts, assemblies, and productions.
- Salary Competitive hourly pay with annual step increases
- Schedule Part-time; typically under 20 hours per week
- Work Year School year calendar; summers off
- Location School sites throughout Bellflower Unified School District
- Benefits Paid sick leave, holidays, and personal days
- Experience No paid experience required and no teaching credential required
- Help students create: support students with art projects, media projects, rehearsals, performances, exhibitions, and creative assignments.
- Assist the teacher: prepare materials, set up activities, follow teacher direction and help students stay engaged.
- Keep things organized: manage supplies, equipment, classroom areas, displays, costumes, sets, media tools, or performance materials.
- Support school events: help set up and take down displays, concerts, assemblies, productions, exhibitions, and community shows.
- Encourage participation: create a positive, safe, and inclusive environment where students feel comfortable learning and expressing themselves.
- Work with different learners: support students of different ages, abilities, skill levels, and learning styles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A great attitude and love working with kids.
- Reliable and professional work habits.
- 48 college units.
- Associate's degree.
- Pass the District's reading, writing, and math assessment.
- Teaching credential programs.
