Job DescriptionPosition: ESY Paraeducators (3 days) – 2026‑2027 school year. Funding contingent on town meeting approval on May 27, 2026. Internal posting.
Department: Special Education Extended School Year (ESY)
Positions: Determined by student enrollment
Salary: $26.00 per hour
Program Dates: July 6, 2026 through August 5, 2026 (5 weeks)
Days & Times:
- Monday through Wednesday – 3 days
- Elementary: 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
- Secondary: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
- In addition to program hours, schedule 1 hour of prep per day before or after class or split into two 30‑minute periods to prepare materials, record data, professional development, and consult with teachers or related service providers.
- Adhere to the policies and procedures of the Bellingham School Committee.
- Elementary Para educator – DiPietro Elementary, Kindergarten through Grade 3.
- Memorial and High School Para educator – Bellingham Memorial School, Grades 4 through 12+.
- Preference for applicants who have worked with students with mild to moderate special needs.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
