The World Language Department provides students with the language skills to communicate thoughtfully and meaningfully in Spanish. Students engage in authentic learning experiences that connect them to the global community and develop an appreciation for diverse cultures.

• Teach Spanish language skills (aural comprehension, speaking, reading, and writing) to secondary students.
• Develop lesson plans, supplementary materials, and instructional technology to support the adopted course of study.
• Provide individualized and small‑group instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Evaluate student progress in all language domains and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate progress to parents, counselors, and other professional staff.
• Assist students with health, attitude, or learning problems and collaborate with school staff.
• Participate in curriculum development, training, and professional growth activities.
• Maintain a positive, orderly classroom environment and enforce school policies.
• Support school community through participation in events and activities.
• Assume additional duties assigned by the School Principal.

• Appropriate Massachusetts Teacher Licensure.
• Bachelor’s Degree (required);
  Master’s Degree (preferred).
• Fluency in Spanish (reading, writing, speaking).
• Foreign Language certification for grades 5‑12 preferred.
• Dual certification in French and Spanish, if available.

Contract position classified as BTA.

Must be physically able to escort students during emergency drills and navigate the classroom, bending, sitting, or standing frequently.
