Proceedings Coordinator

Full-time, 40 hours per week position available, with flexible work hours.

• Coordinates the publication of conference proceedings content, including manuscripts and other digital media.
• Works with conference chairs and authors to ensure timely, accurate publication, while maintaining appropriate editorial standards and style.
• Maintains daily correspondence with authors, conference chairs, and other departments within SPIE to ensure that deadlines are met.

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent editorial or publishing project management experience.
• Strong organization skills and strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with multiple, overlapping deadlines.
• Strong facility with word processing, database, and spreadsheet software.
• Experience with Smartsheet is preferred.

• Competitive wages, annual discretionary bonus. Pay range depending on experience is $24.23 to $35.14 hr. This is a non-exempt position.

• Defined retirement contribution: SPIE provides an automatic 5% contribution PLUS SPIE offers up to 5% matching contributions and 25% vesting each year, 100% vested after 4 years.
