Aboutthe Position
Under minimal direction and in cooperation with various dance faculty, candidate will provide piano and/or percussion accompaniment and musical guidance during dance technique, modern and improvisation classes.
This is a temporary position, ending no later than December 2026.
Required Qualifications- Improvise and perform music with appropriate rhythms and tempos by observing the movement of dancers.
- Prepare and be consistent and the studio
- Ability to play piano or percussion instruments proficiently and follow musical direction.
- Ability to read musical notation.
- Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with students, faculty and staff.
- Knowledge of methods and techniques of dance accompaniment
- Ability to learn ballet and contemporary terminology
- Experience playing piano and/or percussion for dance classes

Salary$23.80 - $27.38/hour depending on qualifications and experience
