Whatcom Hills Waldorf School is seeking a full time Grades Class Teacher beginning Fall 2026.
Benefits and CompensationThis is a full time, salaried position, with increments for Waldorf training and teaching experience. WHWS offers health insurance, matching retirement contributions, and tuition remission for faculty children. About Our School and CommunityApproaching our 40th anniversary, Whatcom Hills Waldorf School is a fully accredited member of AWSNA and WECAN, serving approximately 210 students. Our School offers a comprehensive educational experience through its well established parent/toddler program, nursery, two preschools, two kindergartens, and a full (1-8) grade school. Our grade school curriculum includes Fiber and Practical Arts, Eurythmy, Spanish, Gardening, Cyber Civics, Movement, Strings, Choir and Orchestra.
WHWS is situated on a beautiful, wooded campus, close to Lake Whatcom in the vibrant city of Bellingham, WA. Bellingham Bay is situated in the Pacific Northwest on the ancestral territory of the Coastal Salish people. From Bellingham, we enjoy majestic views of numerous lakes and rivers as well as the San Juan Islands and Cascade Mountains. Adventure lovers have easy access to skiing, paddling, mountain biking, hiking and backpacking, and those who prefer to stay closer to town can enjoy miles of interurban pathways, neighborhood parks, cafes, restaurants, theaters, farmer’s markets and festivals.

Our ideal candidate is a trained and experienced Waldorf teacher, who would enjoy being part of our dedicated faculty, working collaboratively and with a deep commitment to Waldorf education.
