Part‑time Extended Day Program Director

Assumption Catholic School seeks a part‑time Director to oversee the after‑school program serving students in grades Kindergarten through Grade 8. The Director is responsible for providing a safe, caring, and enriching environment that supports the school's mission.

Responsibilities
  • Hire and manage all Extended Day Program staff, including timekeeping, reporting, and timesheets.
  • Maintain an environment that promotes cooperation, learning, and enjoyment.
  • Assist students with nightly homework and foster cooperative relationships among grade levels during outdoor play.
  • Compile attendance data for tracking and billing in coordination with the bookkeeper.
  • Oversee student behavior in all post‑school environments.
  • Maintain student files of attendance records.
  • Perform light cleaning duties.
  • Create communication lines with parents, teachers, and the principal.
Hours Of Duty

2:50 pm–6:00 pm, Monday‑Friday with occasional early release days 11:30 pm–6:00 pm. The school year runs from late August to mid‑June, with no workdays in summer or during school breaks.

Pay & Benefits

Hourly rate of $22‑$25. Salary determined based on internal equity, market data, and applicant experience, skills, degrees, and certifications. Benefits are not included for positions less than .75 FTE (30 hours per week).

Qualifications
  • Experience in a classroom (paraprofessional, teacher’s aide, or teacher).
  • Ability to manage large and small groups of children—up to 25 at one time.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Positive relations with staff, parents, and children.
  • Prior experience in a related position working with children.
  • Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or campus will provide).
  • Background check and VIRTUS course (provided upon hire).
  • Practicing Catholic preferred.
Start Date

Fall 2026; program starts August 27 2026 with training and orientation scheduled with the principal.
