Employment Specialist

Job Summary

Support persons with disabilities referred to Cascade Connections for vocational services. These customers are typically referred from the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation and Developmental Disabilities Administration. This position requires varying skills and duties based on each customer’s unique abilities and vocational goals, with a key component of job coaching and community support connections.

Wage range: $23.32 to $28.43 per hour.

$500 sign‑on bonus received after successful completion of a six‑month probationary period.

Overtime eligible.

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent (higher education in related fields preferred)
• Effective communication skills: reads, writes, and speaks clear English
• Willing to submit to for‑cause drug testing
• Pass a DSHS background check
• Willing to fulfill non‑standard work hours to meet immediate, short‑term coaching needs
• Ability to work well with people and demonstrate leadership qualities
• Make quick, independent decisions
• Respond promptly to phone calls and emails
• Work independently and as part of a team
• Represent Cascade Connections professionally in the community
• Be organized and efficient
• Employ strong problem‑solving skills
• Use Microsoft Business and Google Workspace applications
• Believe that all people can and should work
• Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds and ethnicities (preferred)
