Program Educator (Seasonal) – Otters Den Nature School | Bellingham, WA

Otters Den Nature School is seeking a passionate Program Educator to lead hands‑on outdoor learning for elementary‑aged students in our licensed nature‑based after‑school program. If you enjoy environmental education, fostering curiosity, and helping children build confidence and connection through nature, we’d love to hear from you.

Position Details

• Seasonal:
  September 15 – October 22, 2026
• 15–20 hours/week, Tuesday–Thursday
• $21/hour
• Opportunity for spring seasonal rehire for the April program

• Lead engaging outdoor lessons in ecology, environmental science, and nature exploration.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
• Inspire environmental stewardship, teamwork, resilience, and curiosity.
• Collaborate with the Program Director to prepare lessons and support diverse learners.

• 18+ years old
• High school diploma plus nature-based education or training
• Experience working with children in outdoor, environmental, or educational settings
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
• Reliable, enthusiastic, and committed to child‑centered learning
• Spanish language skills are helpful
