You’ll have the chance to work with the ACCESS Program, supporting elementary students with diverse needs and collaborating closely with a dynamic team.

Ideal candidates for this role will possess:

• Current Washington Special Education teaching certification
• Experience developing and delivering IEPs for elementary-aged students
• Familiarity with caseload management and adaptable teaching strategies
• Collaborative mindset, with strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Compassion for building positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and implementing individualized education plans for students in the K–4 ACCESS Program
• Collaborating with general education teachers, related service providers, and administrators
• Monitoring and documenting student progress according to district standards
• Participating in IEP meetings and providing input to support student success
• Utilizing the district’s IEP system (training will be provided as part of onboarding)
• Managing indirect hours, which will include paid team meetings and administrative tasks
