Job Description
At Bank of America, this role is responsible for originating loans for clients with residential mortgage needs and is the primary lending specialist working full‑time within the financial center. The position may also handle First Mortgage and HELOC products as well as Auto Loans, Credit Cards and Core Banking products.
Responsibilities- Provide specialized and personalized service, offering advice and guidance to financial center clients through the full spectrum of borrowing and banking offerings at each stage of the client’s life plan.
- Build and deepen relationships with new and existing clients by leveraging the full capabilities of the bank.
- Analyze the client’s financial needs and recommend financial services that best align with their unique priorities.
- Present potential home‑lending product solutions, submit the mortgage application, assist clients with gathering supporting loan documentation, and keep clients informed throughout the mortgage loan process through outbound calls, email, and online messaging.
- Conduct outreach and pipeline management activities and consistent follow‑up routines to meet client needs.
- Respond to client requests and make referrals to appropriate internal partners.
- Partner with financial center leaders, performance managers, and market leaders to provide specialized guidance and coaching to financial center associates regarding delivery of an exceptional client experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of mortgage origination experience or equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to assess client needs, leadership ability, build trust, deepen relationships, and a proven record in consultative sales and delivering tailored financial solutions.
- Active listening and desire to interact with clients proactively.
- Professional, effective, and confident communication skills, comfortable engaging clients in person and over the phone.
- Critical thinker capable of analyzing financial and credit data to advise clients of product/pricing policies, guidelines, and gather additional required information.
- Effective customer service skills and ability to manage the full client end‑to‑end experience and problem resolution.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle ambiguity and adapt to changing circumstances.

- Experience in a loan origination role in a retail environment and knowledge of mortgage products (Conventional, Jumbo, HELOC, Government).
- Knowledge of credit and home lending requirements.
- Experience working in a financial center where goals were met or exceeded.
- Ability to analyze and comprehend complex financial data and provide financial alternatives.
- Knowledge of banking products and services.
- Solid time‑management skills, ability to organize, prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of structuring, processing, underwriting and closing procedures.
- Knowledge of federal regulations governing real estate lending, FHA and HUD guidelines.
- Other lending products (Credit Card, Vehicle Loans).
- Strong computer skills including MS applications and experience utilizing laptop technology.

Minimum Education Requirement:
High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalent.
Shift: 1st shift (United States of America).
Hours per Week: 40.
Hourly pay range: $26.00 – $30.83, based on experience, education and skill set. Formulaic incentive eligible:
