POSITION PURPOSE:

Incumbent serves as Clinical Supervisor for clinicians in Whatcom Children’s Mental Health program (CMH). Incumbent supervises the direct service work of clinicians, providing regularly scheduled and as–needed clinical direction, guidance and troubleshooting, in consultation with the supervisor and IFS leadership. Incumbent supervises clinical record-keeping (EMR) to ensure accuracy, timeliness and compliance with policies and regulations. Incumbent assists supervisor with operational duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Upholds and models the CCSWW Mission, Insights, Key Action Steps and Principles of Leadership.

Supervises and reviews the performance of:

Whatcom County CMH clinicians and interns. Holds staff members accountable for clear, consistent and thorough information about agency goals, decisions, future planning, etc.

Provides clinical supervision and oversight for staff.

Assists supervisor in the oversight of clinical internship program.

Participates in the professional development and skill building of clinical staff.

Participates in cross-program coordination with IFS leadership.

Participates in daily operations management.

Assists Clinicians in the coordination of psychiatric resources, including prescriber's.

The Clinical Supervisor maintains a clinical case load.

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in social services or related field.
  • Fully licensed (not an Associate) with the WA State Dept. of Health.
  • Meets, or has ability to meet, WA state training requirement for supervisors (15 hours of state required supervisory training).
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices, including wraparound.
  • Has exhibited the qualities of leadership expected by CCS to lead and inspire a diverse workforce; qualities/skills may include coordination, facilitation, etc.
  • Strong experience and knowledge of strengths-based treatment approaches for children and families.
  • Has strong computer and technology skills in the area of Share Point, One Drive, Teams, Electronic Medical Records, Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, etc.
  • Strong facilitation and team building skills.
  • WA State I.D./ or Driver’s License and proof of automobile insurance.
  • Applicant must successfully pass required background clearances prior to an offer of employment.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
  • Demonstrate the necessary attitudes, knowledge and skills to deliver culturally competent services and work effectively in multi-cultural situations.
  • Support and uphold the mission, beliefs and values of Catholic Community Services and Catholic Housing Services.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Meets qualifications as a Child Mental Health Specialist (CMHS) per WA state WAC.

2 years post-licensure experience in a relevant setting.
