Program Coordinator Vaccine Immunization - Pediatrics

Peace Health is seeking a Program Coordinator Vaccine Immunization - Pediatrics for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. The salary range for this job opening at Peace Health is $28.73 - $43.09. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for coordinating the vaccine immunization program for PHMG primary care clinics. Coordinates with the department's Supervisor/Manager/Director with program implementation, maintenance and education/training of staff on the vaccine program. Coordinates the vaccine program's ongoing processes assessment and maintaining vaccine program standards as set by State Immunization Program.

Essential Functions

* Responsible for all processes and program coordination of the vaccine program for designated primary and specialty clinics within the immediate PHMG community/network. Includes but no limited to inventory, ordering, documentation, submission of state documentation and ongoing program maintenance.

* Responsible for completing and maintaining required provider agreement for current authorized providers in the vaccine program to the state. Provider agreement is required for PHMG site to maintain access and participation in the State Immunization Program with CDC.

* Oversees the processes and verification for certifying all clinic refrigeration used is current with State Immunization Program standards. Submits verification date to the state program.

* Oversees the ordering processes for all clinics involved in administering vaccines in the clinics. Maintains appropriate levels of immunization supplies and storage of vaccines for the participating clinics.

* Performs and responsible for monthly vaccine count(s), maintaining required levels for patient care. Follows standard processes overseen by State Immunization Program with reconciling and submitting current inventory and vaccines supplies ordered and received.

* Reviews daily vaccination quality report and escalates any errors that need review though the patient incident reporting program.

* Reviews and follows policies and procedures related to PHMG vaccine programs and state regulations for immunization programs. Participates in the evaluation of program effectiveness.

* Participates in yearly online CDC training modules through State Information Systems web site.

* Coordinates ongoing review and implementation of program practice guidelines.

* Serves as a resource to other PHMG clinics and communities with vaccine immunization programs.

* Position oversees WA State Vaccine Program for Pediatrics, Family Medicine and Same Day Clinics located in Bellingham, Sedro Woolley, Burlington, and Peace Island PHMG clinics.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

* Accredited School

Required:

Medical Assistant or

* Accredited State Board of Nursing LPN Program Required

Experience

* Minimum of 3 years

Required:

primary care outpatient experience administering immunizations, preferably in pediatrics and

* Required:

Experience in working as Medical Assistant or LPN in primary care clinics

Credentials

* Required:

Upon Hire National Certified Medical Assistant and certification in state of practice or

* Required:

Upon Hire Licensed Practical Nurse - Washington and

* Required:

Upon Hire Basic Life Support
