Surgical Technologist

Full-Time

• Demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide assistance during surgical procedures performed in the department in the scrub role.
• Experienced in all aspects of aseptic technique, setting up required equipment and sterile supplies for assigned cases; pulling cases as needed; and breaking down cases at the end of the procedure.
• May come in contact with medications and therefore must demonstrate an understanding of proper medication management and storage as well as maintaining a secure medication environment.
• Act as a preceptor, resource, and mentor for new staff members, surgical technician students, and existing staff.
• Types of Services:
  Neuro, Ortho, CV, Vascular, Plastics, Robotics, General, Spine, Bariatrics, Hybrid OR, GYN, Urology.

• Accredited Program Preferred:
  Surgical Technology or recognized course of training as a Surgical Technologist.
• 1 year Preferred:
  Experience as a surgical technologist in a full-service operating room.
• Required:
  
  Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age‑specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient's needs.
• Required Upon Hire:
  Basic Life Support.
• Preferred:
  Certified Surgical Technologist.
