We have an exciting opportunity for an HRGtojoin our Human Resources Department. This Sr HR Generalist is responsible for setting the recruitment strategy for the Merchandising team and for building a strong partnership with the Regional Merchandising Managers (RMM) and field Merchandising Supervisors (MS) in areas such as recruiting, training and development, policy and procedures and employee relations. Ensure consistency and fairness in the administration of company policies and procedures.

Support the Transportation leaders (HO) in the areas of strategic planning and process improvement. Work closely with HR Director to develop standard work of company-wide HR policies and programs

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Develop and implement new recruitment strategy for Merchandising, including strategic objectives to meet each season.
  • Coordinate with RMM and MS to develop job descriptions and compensation strategies.
  • Provide daily coaching and HR guidance to RMM and MS.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs.
  • Oversee HR Recruitment Coordinator (HRC) who is responsible for managing the posting of positions and screening of candidates. The HRC also conducts virtual onboarding and manages the data entry of new hires and terminations.
  • Coordinate company training and programs for Merchandising team in areas such as performance management, promotions, hiring, terminations, sexual harassment and other topics.
  • Strategic partner to the Transportation group at HO, supporting key objectives and creating standard work and SOPs.
  • Establish standard work in the development and implementation of HR policies and programs.
  • Ensure positive employee relations, morale, and internal customer satisfaction.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • 5-7 years minimum Human Resource Generalist experience with emphasis on recruiting, policy development and employment law.
  • HR Certification (SHRM or HRCI) preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Office environment, long hours sitting in front of a computer.
