Part-time IT Operations Assistant

Position Overview

The Cloud Security Alliance is currently seeking a Part-time IT Operations Assistant. This position is dedicated to maintaining uninterrupted service operations for our users, both within the organization and externally. The role includes establishing and maintaining service integrations, identifying and resolving service problems, and conducting data analysis to guide strategic decisions. A significant aspect of this role involves direct collaboration with various departments to address their IT requirements, ensuring that their needs are met efficiently and effectively.

This position necessitates teamwork with both the support and development teams and entails reporting directly to the Technology Director. With our organization’s strong emphasis on security, the integration of security practices into every task is a fundamental requirement. This is a hybrid position that requires time in office at CSA’s Bellingham location on a weekly basis, but also offers some possible flexibility on a schedule.

Applicants are expected to have experience or a willingness to develop skills in the following areas:

• User management, license/service integration with key platforms like Google Workspace, Microsoft
  365, Git Hub, 1
  
  Password, Zen Desk, Mailgun, Higher Logic, Notion.
• No-code database set-up and support.
• Maintaining website content in a CMS.
• Data extraction, synthesis and presentation from various databases and applications (Postgre
  
  SQL, Heroku dataclips, Tableau, DOMO).

• Setup and monitoring of services such as Power
  
  DMARC, Google Analytics, AWS, Slack, Cloud Flare, Cloud Ally, Auth0, BL.ink, Adobe, Calendly, Grammarly.
• Occasional customer-facing support tasks.
• Basic troubleshooting and coordination with vendors, especially for platforms like Higher Logic.

• Understanding of DNS, SMTP, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, BIMI, and spam management techniques.
• Knowledge of HTTPS/HSTS standards, shell scripting, Python, SQL, and 2FA/MFA implementation.
• Familiarity with project management principles, change control processes, and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Proficiency in basic photo and document editing.
• Proficiency in learning new tools and adapting to evolving admin interfaces.

• Self-motivation and the ability to work autonomously.
• Capability to meet strict deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and organizational skills.
• Prior experience in cloud security is beneficial.

• An Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Systems or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
• Awareness of Cloud Security Alliance’s mission and activities is advantageous.
