System Manager

Overview

Amentum is seeking a Systems Manager to join our team supporting an eDiscovery/Litigation Support Lab for a new team at the Department of Justice (DOJ) in Washington, DC. This position is full‑time, onsite in Washington, DC, and reports to a Project Manager, Lead Project Manager, or Deputy Director.

• Manage all technical aspects of very large litigation support projects, including establishing dedicated local area networks, database servers, and custom applications as needed.
• Coordinate with government representatives, other contractors, and project components to anticipate problems and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
• Hire, train, and supervise support staff; direct user help desk support, system documentation, and user training.
• Develop configuration management, risk analysis, and disaster recovery solutions, particularly for web‑hosted litigation data.
• Ensure system and data security is implemented and enforced.
• Consult with the government COR regarding scheduling, personnel assignments, priorities, and progress reporting; develop cost estimates and report on progress.
• Direct and supervise staff; ensure conformance to functional requirements, technical design, and work standards; guarantee timely and quality completion of deliverables.

• At least three years of hands‑on experience installing, running, maintaining, securing, and upgrading lit support software including client, server, and cloud applications, particularly Rel One, Nuix, and Axiom.
• Experience with data migrations and handling financial crimes/non‑compliance cases.
• In‑depth knowledge of Windows‑based systems, browser‑based applications, and Windows office automation environments such as JCON.
• Several years of first‑line management experience; experience with user support help desks and application deployment is extremely helpful.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; trial support experience is a plus.
• Undergraduate degree strongly preferred in computer science or information management/technology; graduate degree preferred.
• Managerial experience required; ability to obtain and maintain MRPT facility credentials/authorization.
• US citizenship is required for MRPT facility credentials at this work location.

$124,000–$186,000 (good‑faith estimate; actual compensation may vary).
