Procurement buyer is responsible for the purchasing of goods and services that the organization needs while ensuring the best value, quality, and delivery.
The principal responsibilities of the buyer will include:
- Identifying and sourcing suppliers.
- Request and evaluate bids or quotes based on the demand of the RFQ log.
- Tracking deliveries and resolving supply issues to ensure on time delivery.
- Monitoring inventory levels and coordinating replenishment to meet necessary reorder points.
- Coordinating sales needs with operational flow to reduce interruption in production.
- Ensuring purchases comply with company policies and budgets.
- Works with operators to confirm quality of receipt of goods.
- Participates and contributes to company safety program.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
