Executive DirectorThe Executive Director (ED) is a high‑impact, mission‑driven General Manager responsible for driving the P&L, operational, and clinical performance of the firsthand model across their state. The ED fosters a culture of Values‑driven innovation, collaboration, and community engagement to deliver life‑changing outcomes for individuals with serious mental and physical illness. The ED manages and strategically executes the entire business unit, overseeing integrated care teams and clinical practice, community outreach, and clinical delivery.
The ED ensures teams are effective in outreach, trust‑building, engagement, benefits navigation, and activation of the entire fH care model, and drives clinical and financial outcomes. The ED leads the expansion of the care model across the state, adopting best practices across all teams.
Job Specifics- Serve as General Manager and own the complete Profit & Loss for the entire state, including medical cost management, revenue optimization, and OPEX management.
- Report directly to the COO and partner with the VP Care Model Performance, Senior Director of Central Clinical Programs, and other EDs to lead, motivate, and inspire community and care model teams.
- Consistently exceed high‑value process and outcome goals, including fidelity to core model activities, utilization, HEDIS metrics, engagement, activation, and financial targets.
- Provide decisive leadership and supervision across all integrated state‑level functions, overseeing Clinical Managers and Managers of Community Operations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop market leaders and care team members, fostering continuous improvement and high accountability.
- Galvanize an inclusive, supportive employee culture aligned with firsthand values.
- Manage, analyze, and optimize state KPIs, coaching teams to exceed financial, clinical, and operational targets.
- Ensure execution of operational and strategic plans, adapting practices as the business evolves.
- Build relationships with local providers, community partners, and health‑plan clients to drive engagement and outcomes.
- Lead launch of new clinic locations, including recruitment of community‑based and care‑model staff with the People team.
- 7‑10+ years in healthcare leadership, preferably in a high‑growth, high‑complexity environment.
- Experience leading in a clinical‑operational dyad model.
- Proven track record of owning and managing a large P&L and delivering results in a value‑based or capitated environment.
- Deep understanding of value‑based care, Medicaid, and the behavioral health ecosystem (SMI/SUD).
- Exceptional leadership presence, executive communication skills, and ability to inspire large cross‑functional teams.
- Ability to travel regularly across the state and communicate a win‑win value proposition to partners.
- Passion for serving and experience working with individuals living with SMI.
- Preferred experience in an early‑stage or growth company with flexibility to adapt strategies.
$170,000 – $170,000 USD
