PSE's Electric Operations team is looking for qualified candidates to fill an open Manager Electric Operations position! Job Description This position holds critical leadership responsibility to lead, direct, and manage the functional activities for electric distribution and transmission, ensuring the safe, reliable, compliant, and cost-effective operation of PSE's system. This role directly oversees essential functions related to the operation, monitoring, maintenance, and construction of associated systems—including first response, system operations, substation operations, and related relay and metering services—all of which are fundamental to keeping power flowing safely and reliably to our customers.

As a key leader within the organization, you will lead, direct, and manage the planning, organization, and deployment of operational resources, making strategic decisions that directly impact system performance, workforce safety, and service reliability across PSE's electric distribution and transmission network. This is a high-visibility role requiring strong leadership skills and sound judgment to drive operational excellence and support PSE's mission of delivering safe, reliable energy to our communities.

- Provides employees with coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities and builds effective teams:
Demonstrates a passion for safety. Promotes and supports a culture of total safety including eliminating at-risk behaviors by conducting safety audits and inspections, eliminating hazards and near misses, and attending safety meetings. Sets clear expectations and holds employees accountable for performance as well as safety goals/targets where applicable. Oversees training and development of employees directly and indirectly managed and makes effective staffing decisions.

Ensures required training is successfully completed. Challenges and inspires employees to achieve business results. Accountable to ensure employees adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements, as well as safety standards. Conducts and ensures the completion of performance reviews. Provides coaching, direction and leadership support to team members in order to achieve employee, business, customer and safety results. Develops and manages department budget while meeting company and departmental goals including Service Quality Indices (SQIs).

Oversees the planning and scheduling of work and assignment of personnel to improve the efficiency of operations. Assures that all work performed is compliant with PSE Operating Standards, PSE and all required safety standards, Field Procedures, PSE/IBEW Collective Bargaining Agreement, State and Federal Codes. Develops and implements emergency response plans. Establishes work force management systems and reviews reports to support changes in work methods, and changes in crew size, make-up, and personnel needed to maintain worker productivity.

Establishes standards for employee productivity and performance, and monitors results. Maintains a current knowledge of construction standards, work methods, and technology available to improve the efficiency of operations.
