Plasma Center Nurse - LPN

Job Overview

Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) reports to the Plasma Center Manager and supports plasma center operations at Bio Life Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd.

• Determine donor eligibility to donate plasma, including informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing serological protein electrophoresis (SPE).
• Manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable test results.
• Evaluate donor reactions as outlined in SOPs and follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies, including development of Center Physician standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities.
• Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or guidance on medical or technical issues pertaining to donor safety and eligibility.
• Support HepatitisB and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and determine if further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER, following EHS guidance.
• Serve as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations of pandemic threats in the local community.

• High‑school diploma or equivalent, or graduate‑equivalent recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
• Currently licensed or certified in the state of assignment: LPN or LVN.
• Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Successfully complete FDA‑approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

• Hourly wage range: $29.44 – $40.48. Salary may vary based on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
• U.S. based employees may be eligible for short‑term incentives and participation in a 401(k) plan with company match.
