Peace Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department .
Position DetailsSchedule: Full-time (0.90 FTE), Nights
Pay Range: $45.78–$82.98 per hour
Pay is based on factors such as education, training, experience, seniority, and applicable union agreements.
This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement (union position) .
Multiple openings may be available.
Hiring bonus and relocation assistance may be available.
What You’ll DoAssess, plan, provide, and evaluate patient care.
Document patient care accurately in the medical record.
Delegate tasks appropriately to other healthcare team members.
Work collaboratively with physicians, caregivers, patients, and families.
Maintain professional competency through ongoing education and development.
Follow hospital policies and participate in quality, safety, and infection prevention initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
At least one year of recent Emergency Department experience , or currently working independently in an ED setting.
Ability to independently care for:
Cardiac patients
Complex medical-surgical patients
Pediatric patients
Trauma patients
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Knowledge of age-specific patient care across all life stages.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Commitment to patient- and family-centered care.
Ability to follow and support hospital policies and procedures.
Basic computer proficiency.
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): within 6 months
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support): within 6 months
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification: within 6 months
TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course): within 12 months
Safely handle patients using proper equipment and procedures.
Push/pull medical equipment up to 45 lbs.
Perform CPR when needed.
Frequently bend, reach, kneel, squat, and move throughout the department.
Lift up to 20 lbs. occasionally.
Exposure to biohazards, body fluids, and airborne particles.
Ability to work in a busy, noisy environment.
Normal vision and hearing (with corrective devices if needed).
Strong verbal communication skills.
