Peace Health is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our high-performing team. Our Emergency Department features a 48-bed Level II Trauma Center supported by board-certified emergency physicians available 24/7. From complex medical emergencies and trauma cases to pediatric and cardiac care, you'll be part of a collaborative team dedicated to providing life-saving care when patients need it most.
What You'll Do- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care.
- Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in accordance with professional and departmental standards.
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly within the electronic health record.
- Coordinate and delegate care appropriately among members of the care team.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to achieve the best possible patient outcomes.
- Support quality improvement, patient safety, infection prevention, and departmental initiatives.
- Maintain professional growth through continuing education and development opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
- Minimum of one year of recent Emergency Department experience or current competency to practice independently in an emergency setting.
- Proven ability to independently manage:
- Cardiac patients
- Complex medical-surgical patients
- Pediatric patients
- Trauma patients
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- ACLS within 6 months of hire
- PALS within 6 months of hire
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification within 6 months of hire
- Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC) within 12 months of hire
