Location

The preferred candidate is local to Bellingham, Washington or the surrounding area, or is willing to relocate.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities using NDT methods (UT, UTPA, PAUT, CR, DR, etc.).
  • Establish techniques for proper examination of objects, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
  • Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
  • Identify, track, manage, and mitigate risk on specific client engagements;
    Escalate issues when necessary to minimize impact on quality, budget, and timeline.
  • Review asset documentation and operational data, including inspection data, monitoring, and auditing of associated NDE activities.
  • Complete integrity assessments, including physical site walkdowns when required.
  • Prepare project reports that include descriptions of work performed, conclusions, and recommendations.
  • Perform specialized inspections and develop techniques for customer certifying agent approval.
  • May instruct and supervise others.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Apply extensive knowledge of ASME and API requirements and procedures pertaining to equipment evaluation for continued serviceability.
  • Understand industry health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Interface with customers regarding schedules and problem solving.
  • Use applicable software and computer-related equipment.
Skills & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (some college preferred).
  • Technical background in NDT (UT, UTPA, PAUT, CR, DR, etc.) with at least five years of experience.
  • Current NDT certifications in the methods listed above.
  • Experience in developing techniques for customer certifying agent approval.
  • Supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret inspection results.
  • Knowledge of NDT equipment.
  • Valid TWIC card preferred; IRRSP card preferred; 40‑hour Radiation Safety Training preferred;
    Industrial Radiographer State Card preferred (trainee status a plus).
  • Based in Bellingham, Washington or surrounding area.
  • Ability to obtain required credentials if not currently possessed.
Pay Transparency

Pay range: $37.50 - $60.58 per hour, depending on experience and applicable certifications.
